|| Mark 10:32-34; Luke 18:31-33
MT20:17 On the way during their ascent to Jerusalem Jesus led the twelve disciples to a private spot. On the path there, he said to them: MT20:18 “Look! We are ascending to Jerusalem and there the Son of Humankind will be turned in to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn him to death. MT20:19 They will turn him over to the non-Jews. They will scourge and make fun of him before impaling [Psalm 22:1-18] him. On the third day he will be raised up.”
 Non-Jews: Or, NEB: foreign power; RHM: nations; RIEU: pagans; GDSP: heathen. See notes on Non-Jews and ETHNOS.
