We welcome you and invite you to enjoy with us some articles published from 2005 until 2009 on the Bijbeblevorsers Blog.

These previously published articles shall also be presented over here until the publication of the vull series of articles on the History of Christianity.

We would like to share with those who are interested in the Word of God and would like to remember the passers-by that not all Bible Students are connected with Jehovah Witnesses.

For example you can find in Belgium the Belgian Christadelphians, the Bible researchers Bijbelvorsers and Bijbelonderzoekers and the Biblestudents which are part of a world-wide community of Bible students whose fellowship is based on a common understanding of the Scriptures.

We aren’t some sort of branch cultic group, as we have no central organization telling us what to do and believe. Rather we are tied together everywhere by our distinctive beliefs, which are freely and independently arrived at.

The Belgian Biblestudents, Bible researchers and the Christadelphians or Brothers in Christ believe that Jesus or Jeshua, the Nazarene, the Messiah or Christ is the son of God, who came to fulfil the Old Testament promises and covenants of God with mankind, primarily the covenants with Eve, Abraham and David.

We believe all Bible teachings, including:

• The Bible is the only true message from God and was entirely given by Him.

• There is only one God, the Father, who made the world and has a great purpose for it.

• The Holy Spirit is God’s own power, by which he works out His own holy will.

• Jesus is the Son of God. He is also Son of Man through being born of Mary.

• Jesus overcame all temptation and died to save his followers from sin and death.

• Jesus was raised from the dead by God. Later he ascended to heaven but will return.

• When he returns he will raise and judge the responsible dead and give immortality to the faithful.

• He will be King over the restored Kingdom of God in Israel and over the whole world.

• When man dies he ceases to exist. The only hope of life is by resurrection at Christ’s return.

• Belief in god’s promises about the Kingdom of God and the work of Jesus Christ is essential.

• Repentance and baptism into Christ by immersion in water and daily following of Christ are all necessary for ultimate salvation.
